Downtown Kelowna Wedding

I have grown to know Kelowna as a top destination for the champagne powder mountains, the calm yet scenic lakes, the diverse terrain found on golf courses and for the many scenic parks and views that can be found throughout the city. This creates a perfect destination for any event, especially a wedding.

Sean and Julia were among the many couples who chose a scenic Kelowna park as their location for their special day. With COVID-19 making its presence in British Columbia in early 2020, by March there were tight restrictions and orders limiting gathering sizes and travel. Like most couples, Sean and Julia were forced to make changes to their wedding and were faced with some challenging decisions.

As we were all working our way through how to manage our new normal, Sean and Julia decided to make the most out of the extra time spent together and chose to have a small, intimate wedding with their closest loved ones (following all orders and guidelines!). Although many ‘traditional’ aspects were skipped, it was decided a wedding video highlighting their special day would be a great way to share their day with loved ones who were not able to attend and as a way to keep the memories close.

A date was picked at the end of August and Sean and Julia made arrangements to ensure their wedding was seamless. The day came along with a perfect Kelowna summer afternoon, filled with blue skies, a light breeze and a beautiful bride and groom. Sean and Julia’s loved ones all met at a scenic downtown park where they were joined by the bride and groom.

Sean and Julia shared their vows, filled with love, humour and a glance at how they envision their love over the following years.

I was so grateful to be apart of Sean and Julia’s special day, and although this day may not have been what they initially envisioned, it was filled with love, family and friends, which made for the perfect day!
